Silky Gomboy Outback 240mm Curve Saw

The Silky Gomboy Outback 240mm is a folding saw designed for outdoor and hunting use. This curved folding saw is equipped with a 240 mm blade with a teeth pitch of 8 (6.8 TPI), taper-ground teeth for smooth, low-resistance cutting made from an impulse-hardening procedure. The nickel‑tin black plating boosts corrosion resistance and reduces reflection, making it suitable for stealthy or tactical tasks and capable of slicing through wood and bone.

While the arbour-composite handle provides safe handling in difficult weather conditions, the blade locks in both open and folded positions for safety. Weighing approximately 288 g (0.63 lb) and folding down to about 270 × 60 × 20 mm, it includes a hard plastic storage case for easy transport.

How to use a Silky Saw correctly:

• Silky Saws use a pull stroke action to cut
• If your Silky Saw ever gets caught on a branch NEVER PUSH and NEVER WRENCH THE HANDLE
• Instead, lift the weight of the blade to release the saw
• You do not have to saw fast or use strength to saw with a Silky, simply pull/glide it across the wood
• Do not sharpen your Silky Outback Edition saw with a hand file. Impulse hardened teeth are not easily sharpened (TIP: If the tips of your Silky Saw are dark and look a little grey then they have been hardened, which is the case for the Outback Edition)
