A comprehensive filtering solution for large quantities of water in as little as 7 minutes, Sawyer’s 1-gallon Gravity System with dual-threaded MINI filter is an ideal choice for backpacking, backcountry camping, and emergency preparedness. With threads on both sides, you can screw the push/pull cap onto the MINI for easy on/off functionality while filtering to control water flow.

Weighing just 128 grams, the 1-gallon bladder features a wide-mouth cap that allows fast filling and a convenient carry handle. On the other hand, the Sawyer MINI weighs just 2 ounces, will fit in the palm of your hand, and is rated to 0.1-micron for absolute filtration, removing 99.99999% of bacteria (Salmonella, Cholera, E. coli), 99.9999% of protozoa (Giardia, Cryptosporidium), and 100% of microplastics.

How it Works

0.1 Micron Absolute Filtration
Sawyers' water filters contain several tiny ‘U’ shaped hollow fibre micro-tubes that trap contaminants while allowing decontaminated water to pass freely at a high flow rate, all while eliminating the need to store water and limiting water contamination after filtration.

The dual-threaded MINI is certified for 0.1-micron filtration, making it impossible for harmful bacteria (like Salmonella), protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi to pass through these tiny 0.1-micron pores in the filter.

All Sawyer water filters meet or exceed the recommended removal rates from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Gravity Does the Work
Unscrew the mouth opening and fill the bag with water from any source (lake, stream, faucet, etc). — Connect the included tube between the bladder and the MINI. Then, simply, hang the reservoir from a height. Water will flow through the MINI to produce fresh, clean water for consumption.

100,000 Gallons
Made to filter approximately 100,000 gallons, the MINI’s filtering membranes are built to withstand backwashing using the provided syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate. Along with the Cleaning Coupling accessory, it enables backwash of the MINI using a standard water or soda bottle (with 28mm threading). The MINI can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely with no expensive cartridges to replace. Sawyer recommends backwashing and sanitising the filter after every outing for optimised use.

Maximum Versatility
Ideal for outdoor recreation, domestic use, prolonged travelling, and emergency preparedness, the dual-threaded MINI gives you several ways to access clean water. With double threads, you can screw the cap onto the MINI for easy on/off functionality while filtering to control water flow.
