Purpose-built for military use, Savotta draws on over half a century of experience crafting gear for the Finnish Defence Forces. Designed to endure well over a decade of rigorous use, these packs are rugged yet highly functional, maintaining a robust design without compromise. They offer a unique blend of functionality, comfort, and traditional Savotta ruggedness. With a total capacity of approximately 30 litres, including side pouches, the Kahakka 25L provides ample space and numerous attachment options for additional gear.
The main compartments fold-top lid opens easily and secures with two SR buckles, ideal for use in mud, sand, and snow. Inside, a hydration bladder/radio compartment with tie-down loops and a top attachment webbing tab keeps essentials organised. Each side features an antenna/cable/tube port for connectivity. Expandable side pouches offer quick access to gear like water bottles and tools, tightening neatly with top side compression straps. Two external zippered pouches provide additional storage, one on the lid and a flat one on the front each equipped with dual zipper pullers for reliability and easy use with gloves. All plastic buckles are easily replaceable or removable without sewing.
PALS webbing on the front and bottom allows for attaching extra gear, while the padded back includes a removable foam pad usable as a sitting/kneeling pad or for storing extra equipment like a tarp or poncho. Padded, contoured shoulder straps with steel D-rings offer comfort and adjustability, complemented by a removable sternum strap. Shoulder straps can be easily replaced if damaged.
Closing securely with a 50mm webbing belt and Berg buckle, the pack ensures ease of use in all conditions, with the belt stowing away in the back pad compartment when not needed. Built tough with 1000D Cordura and 500D material, this pack balances durability with practicality for military and outdoor use across various applications including camping, hiking, hunting, or bushcraft adventures.
