The Australian Army Malaria Institute (AMI) testing in Australia conducted a comparative evaluation of repellents containing either Picardin or DEET against pest and vector mosquitos. In night time tests, 19.2% Picardin provided greater than 95% protection for seven hours. Picardin provided unusally long periods of protection against Aedes, Culex and Anopheles mosquito species.Repels Mosquitoes, Flies, Sandflies, and other biting insects for up to 6 hours and Repels Ticks for up to 4 hours.
