The Ultimate Hazmat Suit for Your Prepping Needs
When it comes to preparing for disasters, hazmat suits are often overlooked. Many focus on getting full-face respirators but neglect the crucial addition of a reliable hazmat suit. Others opt for low-cost alternatives that provide limited protection. However, not all hazmat suits are created equal. Common biohazard suits available are designed for limited chemical exposure and minimal wear and tear in job site environments. They are intended for single-day use and easy disposal at a minimal cost. But in preparation, you can't predict the exact challenges you'll face. A single puncture in your suit could jeopardise your safety.

That's why MIRA Safety range of suits that go beyond the standard hazmat solution. Their suits offer protection that surpasses expectations. Using durable, puncture-resistant fabric, the same material used in military hazmat suits, MIRA have created a multi-purpose CBRN suit. It serves as a biohazard suit, radiation protection suit, and chemical suit all in one. MIRA Safety's HAZ-SUIT features the same fabric found in some of the most elite and expensive NBC suits. It has earned the trust of top professionals working in the harshest environments. The HAZ-SUIT is a Level C hazmat suit (Level B when worn with an SCBA system) available in 6 sizes to ensure a comfortable fit for every member of your family or group. It provides full-body protection for up to 8 hours of direct exposure to deadly chemical, radioactive (alpha particles), and toxic agents.

With this suit, you have ample time to reach safety without worrying about unexpected punctures or hazardous exposure. Its superior tensile strength offers added protection against punctures in case of accidents or debris. When stored correctly, these suits will perform reliably for decades without any special maintenance or upkeep. The MIRA Safety HAZ-SUIT leaves no room for compromise when it comes to protecting you from life-threatening CBRN agents, and you shouldn't have to compromise either.

Shelf Life of HAZ-SUIT Chemical Garments:
MIRA Safety strive for transparency regarding the shelf life of hazmat suits and chemical-barrier fabrics. While there is no universally accepted industry standard for determining shelf life, MIRA have conducted extensive testing and research to provide you with reliable information. When stored properly in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and extreme temperatures, there is no evidence to suggest that the protective characteristics or physical properties of MIRA's HAZ-Suit composite fabric diminish over time.

MIRA Safety have tested HAZ-SUIT fabric that has naturally aged over twenty years. A coverall made with this fabric was subjected to ASTM F1001 testing against a list of twenty-one chemicals. Remarkably, there was no breakthrough in >480 minutes, demonstrating the fabric's continued effectiveness. The aged fabric was also assessed for its physical properties and found to meet manufacturing specifications. Based on these findings, MIRA Safety considers the shelf life of their HAZ-SUIT products to be undetermined, as there is no evidence of degradation. Chemical suits comprise components made from various polymer or rubber materials, and there is limited shelf life data available for these materials. Therefore, the garments can be used as long as they pass a visual inspection and, for vapour protective (Level A) garments, the ASTM F1052 pressure test.

It is crucial for wearers to assume responsibility for ensuring that all components, including fabric, valves, visors, gloves, zippers, seams, and suit-to-component interfaces, are in good working condition and provide sufficient protection for the intended conditions and chemicals. Any suit that fails the visual inspection and/or pressure test should be immediately taken out of service. Your safety is top priority, and they encourage proactive maintenance and assessment of your hazmat suit to ensure optimal performance and protection
