KA-BAR Becker BK22 Companion Knife

One of the heaviest knives in the Ka-Bar range. This knife can handle its own. The blade is 6.6 mm thick and made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. Thanks to its thickness and the forgiving features of the 1095-steel this knife can handle almost anything: it is pretty much impossible to break. In addition, the knife is easy to sharpen which is why this knife is so incredibly popular.

The comfortable handle is made from Zytel. A durable light-weight and strong type of plastic. Because of its size the BK2 can also be easily used if you have large hands or when wearing gloves. The exposed steel tang at the end of the handle can be used as an improvised hammer. The nylon sheath with a belt loop is included. This allows you to attach the KA-BAR BK22 to your belt.

The KA-BAR Becker BK2 Companion Knife is exactly the same as the KA-BAR Becker BK22 Companion Knife, the only difference is the sheath. The KA-BAR Becker BK2 comes with a Hard Plastic MOLLE Compatible Sheath while the KA-BAR Becker BK22 comes with a Heavy-Duty Polyester MOLLE Compatible Sheath.
