Helikon-Tex Forester Bushcraft Belt

The Forester Belt is designed for comfortably carrying bushcraft gear in the great outdoors. Its unique mounting system on the belt loops keeps everything secure and easily accessible. This Bushcraft Belt is rerfect for bushcraft enthusiasts. This belt complements the Helikon-Tex range of bushcraft carrying systems. The Forester Bushcraft Belt, similar to tactical belts, can be worn over your clothing and effectively replaces traditional outdoor bags or small backpacks. It pairs well with items like the SERE Pouch, Water Canteen Pouch, Compass/Survival Pouch, or a Survival Water Filter Bag, creating a convenient setup for bushcraft activities.

The Forester Bushcraft Belt's origins trace back to the 1950s during the Malayan Emergency. SAS soldiers used nylon straps with clamps as makeshift tactical belts, repurposing straps from parachute loads. Over time, this design was adopted by British special units, marines, and paratroopers due to its simplicity and adaptability, featuring a roll pin buckle for easy adjustment.

During the Vietnam War, the STABO evacuation harness and its precursor, the McGuire harness, evolved from this concept. These harnesses included suspenders with a belt made from nylon parachute straps and clamping buckles, similar to the British design, allowing soldiers to attach gear such as ammunition pouches, canteens, and grenades.
