The Helko Werk Vario Universal Axe (145.0H130H001) combines traditional axe craftsmanship with a practical replaceable-component design, creating a versatile tool for felling, splitting and general outdoor timber work. Built around a forged C50 carbon steel head and a long Grade A American hickory handle, the Vario Universal is designed for users who want a capable axe that can adapt to different tasks and remain serviceable over time.

Its 1.3kg forged axe head features a rising blade angle that gives the tool a versatile cutting profile, making it suitable for both felling and splitting. The substantial head provides the weight needed for working through timber, while the 750mm slightly curved hickory handle provides leverage and helps transfer force efficiently during each swing.

A key feature of the Vario system is its replaceable handle and blade assembly. The fastening system allows components to be changed when required, helping extend the useful life of the axe rather than requiring the entire tool to be replaced. A steel handle protector also helps shield the hickory around the head area from damage during use.
